The Slipform 5000 kerbmaker can extrude in excess of 500 lin. mts of kerbing per day at a sensible capital cost and a small crew of semi-skilled labour. No running rails are required and all formwork is eliminated. The Slipform 5000 adeptly handles tight curves down to a 15ft radius and as close as 4 inches to obstacles.

The Slipform 5000 does not employ vibration but achieves compaction through a ramming mechanism which forces the concrete into a specially designed mould attached to the primary unit. The machine has no powered wheels; forward propulsion is achieved from the opposite reaction to the ramming action.

Superior finish
By the simultaneous application of a thin layer of grout onto the formed concrete, a professional finish unequalled by any other method is achieved.

Hand finishing
This is usually limited to specially shaped tool which are provided with each mould. A special joint cutter is supplied with each mould. Joints are formed by hammering cutter through fresh concrete, followed by minimum touching up.

Easily transported
The Slipform 5000 is easily and conveniently transported on a 10' x 16' tandem trailer towed by a pick-up truck. Alternately, the machine can be lifted by a 1½ ton hydraulic JIB crane mounted on a small truck. On site transport is provided for by retractable/removable rear wheels.

Reduced preparation cost
Base preparation can be easily carried out by conventional grading equipment. Grade tolerance of average 30mm is ideal. Auto grading equipment is not required.

Power train
The flexibility mounted 16HP air-cooled engine drives the ruggedly designed ram operating mechanism and hydraulic pump. All top and side covers are removable for ease of service. All components have been selected to ensure worldwide parts availability.
